Failed takeover after PCI Error NMI panic

Issue

  • One node, (node-05) in two-node cluster panics.
  • Nodes are configured for takeover and auto giveback.
  • However, NFS and CIFS clients lose access to both nodes until node-05 reboots.
  • SAN clients showed good path to partner node-06.

Questions:

  • Why did the takeover fail?
  • Why did NAS access on both nodes fail, but not SAN?
