Environmental shutdown due to missing power supply

Issue

  • ONTAP triggers a shutdown because one power supply is removed. Example of EMS messages:
[node:callhome.fans.failed:EMERGENCY]: Call home for MULTIPLE FAN FAILURE
[node:monitor.shutdown.emergency:EMERGENCY]: Emergency shutdown: Environmental Reason Shutdown (Multiple fans failed)
[node:monitor.chassisFan.removed:ALERT]: Chassis fan Fan1 is removed
  • Example of the SP Events log:

Record 2125: Wed May [IPMI.emergency]: Shutdown by Data ONTAP
