DIMM Missing Events in the BMC Logs Following a Reset From the BMC

Issue

  • Following an SP/BMC based reset the following messages can be observed in the output of the 'bmc status -d' command:

Mar 16 17:31:20 BMC hsam[1487]: HSAM OS(ontap):cmd(clr) FLD(/chassis-1/controller-b/dimm-1):fault(DIMM Missing)
Mar 16 17:31:20 BMC hsam[1487]: HSAM OS(ontap):cmd(clr) FLD(/chassis-1/controller-b/dimm-1):fault(Incorrect DIMM in slot)
Mar 16 17:31:20 BMC hsam[1487]: HSAM OS(ontap):cmd(clr) FLD(/chassis-1/controller-b/dimm-1):fault(DIMM Disabled)
