Cluster switch unreachable alert on AFF-A800 with BES-53248

Issue

  • Cluster switch <switch_name> is not reachable from ONTAP cluster <cluster_name>.

  • ONTAP system health alert triggered: SwitchUnreachable_Alert.

  • Monitoring and log collection are non-functional for the affected switch.

  • The physical indicator LED on the switch management port was not illuminated.

  • All cluster network ports remained online and linked up during the incident.
