Applies to

  • Windows Server 2016
  • Data ONTAP DSM is the end of version support since December 31, 2019

Issue

  • Cannot uninstall the Data ONTAP DSM 4.1p1 refer to the KB: How to migrate from Data ONTAP DSM 4.1p1 to Microsoft native DSM.
  • There is no error pop-up during the uninstall operation.
  • Can see the below errors In Windows Event Log.
    Cannot uninstall the Data ONTAP DSM
  • Can not re-install the Data ONTAP DSM 4.1p1 that mentions the Data ONTAP DSM already installed.
    Cannot uninstall the Data ONTAP DSMCannot uninstall the Data ONTAP DSM
  • Rebooted the windows server does not resolve the problem.
