Can I add an IOM6 at the end of a mixed stack of IOM6 and IOM12?

  • IOM12/IOM12B shelves: DS224C, DS212C, DS460C

Answer

  • No, it is not supported to add an IOM6-based shelf after a mixed stack of IOM6 and IOM12 or IOM12B-based shelves.
  • If you want to hot-add an IOM6-based shelf in a mixed stack, you will need to add it before the IOM12 shelves.
  • Ensure the shelf ID of the new shelf is set to a unique value when hot-adding the shelf
