Issue

  • Node experiences SP HBT STOPPED Alert and is taken over

[Node-01: spmgrd: sp.heartbeat.stopped:info]: Have not received a IPMI heartbeat from the Service Processor (SP) in last 600 seconds.

[Node-01: spmgrd: callhome.sp.hbt.missed:notice]: Call home for SP HBT MISSED

  • Node does not reboot due to BMC unresponsive
  • Reseat of management module brings the BMC online
  • When BMC comes online, it goes to a Linux shell instead of BMC prompt
  • BMC event log shows "IPMI not ready" and "Linux Cmds"
