BIOS POST Failure - SP IPMI failure Abort AUTOBOOT

Issue

Node down and cannot boot, and BMC/SP firmware cannot be updated: BIOS POST Failure(s) detected: SP IPMI failure. Abort AUTOBOOT

  • Controller re-seat does not solve  issue
  • BMC/SP boots, via console cable:
    • System unsuccessfully tries to update to FW 11.10, then restarts
  • Accesing BMC/SP via IP console:
    • System displays 11.6 and 11.2 as backup images via "Version"
    • Backup image is visible as loaded

 

  • Failure message visible from Loader:
