Issue

  • Switch logs show authentication failures coming from an ONTAP IP address:
%AUTHPRIV-3-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_aaa:Authentication failed from 192.168.10.5 - dcos_sshd[17708]
  • SNMP management station receives the below SNMP trap from a Cisco switch:
Trap name: Authentication Failure
OID: MIB.1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.5
