Are the two spare parts X90-4014D and X90-4014A interchangeable with each other?

Answer

  • Yes, all versions of X90-4014D (X90-4014A, X90-4014B etc.) are interchangeable on all ONTAP platforms (such as FAS/AFF/ASA).
  • It is only not interchangeable if customer is running platforms that have Santricity(such as E-Series platform).
    • X90-4014D is used between ONTAP systems and Santricity systems.
    • X4014A is only used on ONTAP systems.
