AFF A700s node failing to boot

Issue

  • After power cycling the node from BMC and MB reseat, the node fails to boot, reporting the following errors:
May 22 20:41:01 [node:monitor.chassisFanFail.xMinShutdown:EMERGENCY]: Multiple Chassis Fan failure: System will shut down in 2 minutes.
KCS cmd 0x01 nf 0x6: Failed to start write

  • "boot_diags" was executed from loader and check was failed for Chassis Fan.

  • Two chassis fans  reporting issue and the NVRAM battery were reseated, however, issue remains.
  • Cluster is running the latest BMC FW version 1.95.
