"OFW transfer timed out" error reported after reboot

Issue

  • During ONTAP reboot, the following messages are logged in Event Log:

5/15/2025 15:49:07  FAS-8300-RM11-01 ERROR         net.ifgrp.lacp.link.inactive: ifgrp a0a, port e0f has transitioned to an inactive state. The interface group is in a degraded state.
5/15/2025 15:49:07  FAS-8300-RM11-01 ERROR         net.ifgrp.lacp.link.inactive: ifgrp a0a, port e0e has transitioned to an inactive state. The interface group is in a degraded state.
 
5/15/2025 15:48:35  FAS-8300-RM11-02 ERROR         cf.ic.xferTimedOut: HA interconnect: OFW transfer timed out.
5/15/2025 15:48:34  FAS-8300-RM11-01 ERROR         cf.ic.xferTimedOut: HA interconnect: OFW transfer timed out.
 
  • The node is able to return online but flapping is observed in port e0M, and ports e0c and e0d remain down
  • Cabling and transceivers are confirmed to be working correctly
  • No CRC errors are observed for Receives or Transfers
