CONTAP-92723: CSHMD crashes if port security feature is not enabled with Cisco switches

Issue

  • Only affects ONTAP versions 9.13.1 P2 through 9.13.1 P8 (inclusive)
  • Ethernet switch health monitor (CSHM)'s daemon service cshmd will repeatedly crash if any connected Cisco switches do not have the port security feature enabled for an interface.
  • Alert seen multiple times a day in the event logs:
  • Example: Mon Feb 19 20:48:55 0000 [cluster1-01: cshmd: ucore.panicString:error]: 'cshmd: Received SIGABRT (Signal 6) at RIP 0x807adb33a (pid 2751, uid 0, timestamp 1708375735).'
