Issue

  • On NVIDIA SN2100 switches running Cumulus Linux 5.4.0, the Ethernet switch health monitor raises a false SwitchPortMTUMisconfigured_Alert for the switch management port.
  • The management port is normally excluded from MTU checks, but on this switch software version the exclusion does not work. The management port's standard 1500-byte MTU is then flagged as misconfigured.
  • To confirm this issue applies:
    • The cluster or storage network uses NVIDIA SN2100 switches running Cumulus Linux 5.4.0
    • system switch ethernet interface show lists an interface with the name "Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection I354"
