Issue

  • After an ASA A50, ASA A30, ASA A20 or ASA C30 node reboots (typically as part of an ONTAP upgrade), both HA partners might report a "nv.partner.size.mismatch" event and storage takeover becomes disabled due to "unsynchronous log". The following is an example of the event:

[nv.partner.size.mismatch:alert]: CF monitor: NVRAM size mismatch between nodes detected; node requires 8568963072 bytes, partner exported 8451522560 bytes.
  • If this occurs as part of an ONTAP upgrade, the upgrade will pause when this occurs.
