Issue

  • PSU and Temperature resources of the Ethernet switch health monitor (CSHM) send SNMP requests that do not specify valid OIDs.
  • For Broadcom BES-53248 Cluster switches, this causes the SNMP agent to becomes overloaded and fails to respond.
  • This can interfere with Ethernet switch health monitoring altogether and generate alerts (for example, SwitchInfoUpdateFailure_Alert or SwitchSNMPCommunication_Alert).
