When forming or operating an HA pair with nodes that have different platform personalities, ONTAP may not detect the mismatch for all supported platform combinations. This can allow an HA pair with incompatible platform models to be formed, potentially resulting in unexpected behavior or failures during HA operations such as takeover and giveback.
