Issue

  • In ONTAP 9.16.1P2, the Ethernet switch health monitor (CSHM) reports numerous "SwitchIfDead_Alert" alerts on unused switch interfaces
  • The unused interfaces are administratively down and operationally not-present

hm.alert.raised: Alert Id = SwitchIfDead_Alert , Alerting Resource = sw1/Slot: 0 Port: 100 50G - Level raised by monitor ethernet-switch
