CONTAP-246223: "Chassis Over Temperature" is reported if the system has more than 10 FC SFP ports

Issue

  • On AFF A1K, AFF A90 or AFF A70 storage systems running ONTAP 9.15.1 RC1, the environmental subsystem can only read the temperatures of up to 10 Fibre Channel (FC) SFP transceivers connected to the system.
  • The temperatures of transceivers beyond the first 10 are reported as "failed" and a "Chassis Over Temperature" alert will be generated because of it.
