CONTAP-109213: Effective cluster version not updating even when all nodes are updated

Issue

  • After performing a cluster update, both nodes are updated but the effective cluster version is still running the older version:
    cluster01::> node run * version
    2 entries were acted on.

  • The following error is seen in System Manager:
    Error: The effective cluster version should be ONTAP 9.12.1; however, it is ONTAP 9.8.0
