Issue

  • An AFF- A700s node might reboot with "Software NMI" and "Watchdog2 | Timer interrupt" events logged by the BMC.

  • An example of this issue from the BMC system event log (SEL) follows:
    838 | 08/03/2022 | 03:26:09 | CriticalInt | Software NMI | Asserted
    839 | 08/03/2022 | 03:26:09 | Watchdog2 | Timer interrupt | Asserted
    840 | 08/03/2022 | 03:26:10 | Watchdog2 | Hard reset | Asserted
    841 | 08/03/2022 | 03:26:10 | SysReset | State Asserted | Asserted

  • The impacted node may fails to reboot even after power cycle.
