Issue

  • During an ONTAP upgrade a node fails to boot and reports [Waiting for requisite number of local mailboxes... (Press Ctrl-C to abort wait)"]
  • [printenv] output from LOADER shows that MetroCluster IP bootargs are missing:
    [Unable to determine local cluster UUID ('bootarg.mgwd.cluster_uuid')
    Unable to determine local cluster UUID ('bootarg.vm.mgwd.cluster_uuid')
    Unable to generate /var/etc/iscsi.conf, status: 1
    Unable to determine local cluster UUID ('bootarg.mgwd.cluster_uuid')
    Unable to determine local cluster UUID ('bootarg.vm.mgwd.cluster_uuid')
    Unable to generate /var/etc/ctl.conf, status: 1]
