CFBMC-6741: "monitor.ioCard.degraded" event is seen in certain systems when 10/25GbE optical transceivers are used

Issue

  • When 10GbE or 25GbE optical transceivers are connected to Ethernet I/O ports on certain systems, ONTAP reports a "monitor.ioCard.degraded" event stating that the temperature sensor of that port is not readable.
  • Example:
    env_mgr: monitor.ioCard.degraded:alert]: IO card is degraded: IO4 25G P4 Temp is not readable
  • The following systems might report this issue:

  • AFF A1K, AFF A90, AFF A70, AFF C80, ASA A1K, ASA A90, ASA A70, FAS90, FAS70
  • AFF A50, AFF A30, AFF A20, AFF C60, AFF C30, ASA A50, ASA A30, ASA A20, ASA C30, FAS50
