CFBMC-6597: Feature request: Use e0S port for HW-assisted takeover in certain systems

Issue

  • A feature request has been created to allow use of the internal e0S port for the hardware-assisted takeover feature provided by the BMC on the following systems:
    • AFF A50, AFF A30, AFF A20, AFF C60, AFF C30, ASA A50, ASA A30, ASA A20, ASA C30, FAS 50
  • The HWassist feature currently relies on the controller's e0M port for communication with the HA partner's BMC.
  • You are unable to change the HWAssist IP and port to the internal e0S device. Example: 

::> storage failover modify -node <node_name> -hwassist-partner-ip 192.0.2.85
Error: The IP address specified with "-hwassist-partner-ip" must be partner's node management IP address. Press the TAB key after the parameter to list the
       valid IP addresses.
::> storage failover modify -node <node_name> -hwassist-partner-port 162
Error: The "-hwassist-partner-port" parameter is not supported on this platform.
