  • Yes, SnapMirror transfers can fail if the source and destination are not compatible versions
  • It is recommended to suspend SnapMirror activities during an upgrade
  • These two requirements must be always satisfied:
  • The destination needs to be upgraded first
  • Ontap version on source and destination need to be compatible according to SnapMirror compatibility table
