Does volume offline in CG impact SnapMirror active sync?

Answer

Yes, because SnapMirror active sync is a real time synchronized relationship, volume offline will disrupt the sync of the volume and definitely make relationship out of sync. Therefore all volumes in the relationship(CG) will be impacted.

Additional Information

When the volume be brought offline, there will be warning message and out of sync event followed:
cluster1::*> vol offline -volume sql1_db
Warning: Volume "sql1_db" in Vserver "svm1_cluster1" is currently part of a SnapMirror Synchronous relationship. Taking the volume offline operation will disrupt the zero RPO protection.

Volume "svm1_cluster1:sql1_db" is now offline.
 
Out of sync event:
6/21/2024 01:38:36  cluster1-02      ALERT         sm.syncmirror.out.of.sync: Sync granular CG relationship with source path svm1_cluster1:/cg/cg1 and destination path svm1_cluster2:/cg/cg1_dest has transitioned from in-sync to out-of-sync for the follow reason: Fast resync encountered a consistency group coordinated operation.(Replication engine error).
