  • The automatic update feature in ONTAP 9.13.1 supports the below features
  • Which is why the latest timezone database version is recommended according to ONTAP 9.13.1 standards  
    • ONTAP Time Zone Database

    • Storage firmware for storage devices, disks, and disk shelves

    • SP/BMC firmware for service processors and BMC modules

Current time zone database can be checked using below command: 

::> cluster date zoneinfo show
Cluster Zoneinfo Version: 2021e

Note: The storage system will only need to be updated manually with new zone info files if a change has been made to the specific timezone the storage system is configured in and that change will come into effect before the storage system can be upgraded to a new version of ONTAP that contains the new rules.
