Answer

NetApp System Manager Product Management is aware of this request.

  • Most Vservers make use of a homogeneous set of NAS LIFs.
  • If one LIF in a Vserver supports both NFS and CIFS, other LIFs in the Vserver will typically support the same.
  • If one LIF in a Vserver supports only NFS, other LIFs in the Vserver will typically support the same.
  • If there is variation within a single Vserver, it will be a combination of homogeneous NAS LIFs with some number of homogeneous SAN LIFs or management LIFs.
  • If your SVM has only NFS enabled, then the NAS LIF will be a NFS LIF.
  • If your SVM has only CIFS enabled, then the NAS LIF will be CIFS only.
