Applies to

  • ONTAP 9.4+
  • System Manager

Description

  • Due to site security restrictions, it may be unfeasible to set up a HTTP/FTP/TFTP web server to host ONTAP image files for download and installation on a cluster
  • From ONTAP 9.4 on, System Manager can now host the image within the web browser session and allow the cluster to download from it instead
  • This is a workaround to network security restrictions that prohibit a user's ability to successfully perform an ONTAP upgrade
