  • identity-preserve is true on destination SVM
  • Source cluster is down or unable to be connected via intercluster LIF

Issue

Activating destination storage VM fails due to error:

Failed to contact peer cluster "cluster2" at addresses: 192.168.0.221, 192.168.0.222. RPC: Remote system error [from mgwd on node "cluster1-01" (VSID: -1) to mgwd at 192.168.0.221, 192.168.0.222]
