Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • REST API
  • ONTAP System Manager (OSM)

Description

  • In order to use an external tool to modify some configuration in ONTAP via APIs, such as creating Quotas and Qtrees, there needs to be a custom role with only REST API access.
  • At a minimum http and ontapi are necessary with admin role.
  • For Qtrees and Quotas you would also need access to volumes.
  • The port 443 needs to be open.
