No, encryption enable on an existing volume with user data is non-disruptive.

Note:

  • Afte starting a conversion operation, it must be completed, and can not be canceled.
  • If encounter any performance issues during the operation, run the volume encryption conversion pause command to pause the operation, and the volume encryption conversion resume command to resume the operation.
  • If need to unencrypted the volume again, refer: Unencrypt volume data
