Cannot delete NVE volume. Error: One or more key servers are unavailable for Vserver

Issue

  • Cannot delete NVE volume nor force delete.

Cluster1::*> volume delete -vserver SVM1 -volume NVE_vol -force

Error: command failed: One or more key servers are unavailable for Vserver "SVM1". Use the "security key-manager
       external show-status -vserver SVM1" command to check the status of the key servers. Verify that the network
       configuration is correct.

  • Trying to delete the external key server fails with an error:

Error: command failed: The key server at “server_IP” contains volume encryption keys that are currently in use and not available from any other configured key server.
