Cluster Switch Monitoring Failure: IP address not reachable

Issue

  • SwitchInfoUpdateFailure_Alert are seen for all switches after ONTAP upgrade along with SwitchUnreachable_Alert
  • The specified IP address "10.xxx.xxx.x" for the ethernet switch "Switch1" is not reachable from the local node.
  • Switches are pingable via cluster CLI:
    Cluster::> net ping -vserver <vserver> -lif <cluster_mgmt_lif> -destination <Switch_IP>
    (network ping)
    <Switch_IP> is alive
  • SSH to the switches is successful
