How to obtain Brocade Fabric OS from NetApp

Description

  • NetApp provides access to Fabric OS (FOS) firmware for Brocade switches sold through NetApp.
  • This article explains how to download the firmware.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Download Software page
  2. Click or search Brocade Fibre Channel Switches
  3. Click Download Latest Release [1.0]
  4. Click Download
    • The page will redirect to the Broadcom Assist Portal site
  5. Provide a valid email/domain that was used for the device registration
    • An activation code will be sent. You will also need a serial number of the Brocade product
      • Note:Users can only download firmware for entitled serial numbers.
    • Group E-mail and distribution lists (DL) or alias "netapp@company.com" as an ID is not allowed.
  6. Click Submit
  7. If this is the first time accessing the site, you may get a message that your account needs approval. 
    • This usually takes about 24 hrs during the week and up to 72 hrs on weekends.
  8. Search FOS in Search Product/Document Title
  9. Choose the firmware version to download.

Note: To download SANnav firmware introduce the SANnav Serial Number
