Fabric OS firmware download failed with error: Unable to uninstall old packages

Issue

When updating Fabric OS from FOS 9.0.1c to 9.0.1d and 9.1.0b, or from v9.1.1_01 to v9.1.1c_G6, the error message- "Firmware download failed - Unable to uninstall old packages. Contact your provider for assistance" is displayed and the installation is paused.
