Answer

  • It is safe to disable port 23 (telnet) for TCP protocol.
  • Brocade has a feature to disable network connections using the "ipfilter" policy.
  • Instructions can be found in the Brocade Fabric OS Administrators guide.
  • This is a switch-centric policy and does not affect other TCP traffic on the management network.
