Issue

  • All the drives in one more drawer are showing Loss of Redundancy after SANtricity OS upgrade.
  • RECOVERY-GURU-PROCEDURES shows the following entries:
    • Failure Entry 1: NO_REDUNDANCY_DRIVE-Recovery Failure Type Code: 32 
    • Failure Entry 15: SAS_PORT_FAILED-Recovery Failure Type Code: 113
  • DOM0-MISC-LOGS reports the following. This is the unique signature for this issue:

10/26/23-00:55:48(SasEvtWkr1): NOTE:  Sub-expander devH:xblevel:2 channel:2 drawer:2 has no SEP Device, hold in reset forever
10/26/23-00:55:48(SasEvtWkr1): NOTE:  Sub-expander devH:xalevel:2 channel:2 drawer:1 has no SEP Device, hold in reset forever
10/26/23-00:56:44(SasEvtWkr1): NOTE:  Sub-expander devH:xdlevel:2 channel:2 drawer:4 has no SEP Device, hold in reset forever
