Issue

  • VMware admins are reporting frequent email alert messages such as:

This email is to notify you that an alarm has been triggered in your vCenter: Alarm alarm.StorageConnectivityAlarm on Host <HOST_NAME> because Lost connectivity to storage device <DEVICE_NAME>. Path <PATH> is down. Affected datastores: <DATASTORE>.

Target             Host <HOST_NAME>

  • No alerts or disconnects found on the E-Series array, however the following informational alerts correspond with VMware logs:

A:2/22/24, 6:22:05 PM (18:22:05) 43609 9105 Workload was automatically balanced by transferring volumes - None
A:2/22/24, 6:22:05 PM (18:22:05) 43608 204a Auto Load Balancing implicit volume transfer - Volume <VOLUME_NAME>
