Answer

No, there is no way to cancel IAF once it is started
 
Note:
  • IAF is automatically triggered by creating volume
  • This background operation can take long time but it is safe to use the volume during this
  • IAF can be internally paused or interrupted by some events(controller reboot, power failure, etc) but automatically resumes once resolved
