E2800 node unexpectedly reboots in SANtricity 11.90R1 with reason 0x429c002

Issue

  • E-Series controller reboot unexpectedly and generate a core dump file.
  • The controller reboot exception is Ancient I/O during Write operation (opCode=8a). This can be found in excLogShow within the state-capture-data file of a support bundle or AutoSupport:

Reboot due to ancient IO, scsiOp=0x103671ac0 poolId=1 opCode=8a age=300000ms
2025-04-07 08:24:29.520280 rebootReason 0x429c002, rebootReasonExtra 0x0

  • The reboot reason code reported in the core dump xml file is 0x429c002.
