E-series Asynchronous Mirror relationship initial sync not completing

  • FC 32gbps single channel, but running in 16gbps data rate
  • FCOE (Fibre channel over ethernet) converter between primary and secondary site
  • 2000+ km distance between site
  • Asynchronous Mirror relationship

Issue

  • A mirrored paired takes forever to complete initial sync to secondary site.
  • Connectivity test is normal, however, the bandwidth is ~36mbps
  • ~4TB + Data remaining to replicate via initial sync
  • Host writing to the primary volume between 30 - 100 mib/s
