Answer

No this will not work:

  • E-Series, primarily block storage and optimized for performance, does not natively support NAS protocols like SMB or NFS
  • FAS supports both block and file storage and provides NAS capabilities with NFS and CIFS/SMB, suitable for a wide range of workloads
