Can I change the workload of a volume in Santricity System Manager?

Answer

No, it is not possible to modify the workload of a volume through the GUI. However, the following workaround should also be effective.

  1. Delete the workload assigned to the volume, which unassigns that workload from all linked volumes.
  2. Assign the volume with the new / desired workload.
  3. Recreate and assign the old workload to any volumes that should have it.

Be Aware !! During the procedure above affected volumes would not have any assigned workload but should not affect the host access to the volumes.
