SMBR initiated snapshot mount operations fail with error: "Mount-SdSnapshot failed"

Issue

SMBR initiated snapshot mount operations from SnapCenter backups fail with error, "Mount-SdSnapshot failed".

The entries in the SnapShotManager.log file (default path C:\ProgramData\NetApp\SMBR\Logs\) show the following error:

ERROR ao - Command execution error: FullyQualifiedErrorId: 102,SnapDrive.Client.PSModule.MountSdSnapshotException message: Failed to mount the Snapshot copy.Failed to mount the resource: <lun_path> from snapshot: <snapshot>.
Possible Resolution: Make sure that Host to storage connectivity is available.

The corresponding entries in the SnapDriveSALDebug.log (default path C:\Program Files\NetApp\SnapCenter\SMCore\) show that no iGroup information is discovered:

Error SAL PID=[5528] TID=[11888] Failed to mount the resource: <lun_path> from snapshot: <snapshot>.
Error SAL PID=[5528] TID=[11888] Failed to mount the Snapshot copy.Failed to mount the resource: <lun_path> from snapshot: <snapshot>.
Possible Resolution: Make sure that Host to storage connectivity is available.
