SCV backup or discovery fails with Failed to determine LUN based on Serial Number

Issue

  • Backup Datastores and/or VMs fails if at least one disk on other non-NetApp storage,  even with option "Always exclude all spanning datastores"
    • Error: Unable to discover resources on SCV: Failed to determine LUN based on the serial number
