Missing VMDK or RDM disks in SnapCenter due to FALSE in disk.EnableUUID

  • SnapCenter plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV)

Issue

  • VMDK disks or RDM disks are not listed in the Hosts -> Disks page

  • Refresh Disks in the Hosts -> Disks doesn't discover VMDK disks or RDM disks.
  • The following error is seen in the SC GUI:
    • Unable to get storage details for VMDK. UUID is not set for VMDK, check if disk.EnableUUID is set for the virtual machine

  • aegis.log shows java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException.

  • SCWDebug.log doesn't include 'Disk Id'.

Note: If there is no issue, SCWDebug.log includes 'Disk Id' in the line.
