Cannot create a new Resource Group even if storage which hosts NFS volume for datastore is added in Storage Systems

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV)
  • Changed the ONTAP volume name and junction path for NFS datastore

Issue

  • Cannot create a new Resource Group even if storage which hosts NFS volume for datastore is added in Storage Systems page.
  • Following error is shown in Resources page in Create Resource Group window. 

There are possible reasons for this error:
1)All the Datastores and VMDK files used by VM are not on supported storage.
2)All NetApp Storage Virtual Machine (SVMs) related to Datastores or VM are not registered within
SnapCenter and/or SCV
