Occasional increase in S3 GET request response time after a node has been shut down

Applies to

  • NetApp StorageGRID 11.6 / 11.7
  • VMware based nodes
  • Bare-metal based nodes
  • StorageGRID Appliances, when shut down (not maintenance mode)

Issue

When a node is shut down, a S3 client may experience incidental increased latency with an interval from 30 to 40 seconds.

Putting the node back online resolves the latency issue.
