  • EC data and replicated data

Answer

Data will be evenly distributed for EC data only.

Example:
  • Node 1, Node 2, Node 3, Node 4, Node 5 all have around 90% usage
    • 30% of this usage is EC data
    • 60% of this usage is replicated data
  • New node gets added (Node 6)
  • EC rebalance runs succesfully
  • Node 6 now has around 25% usage
  • EC rebalance runs again, but no moves are done

This is because Node 6 lacks the replicated data still (which will grow over time). It will not get more EC data than the other nodes.

Nodes 1 to 6 should have around the same amount of EC data. This can be viewed from Support > GRID Topology > Site > Node > LDR > Storage
